75 companies named and shamed in Microsoft’s latest Big Sting

st 12 months Microsoft has prosecuted 75 companies for software piracy in its ‘Big Sting’ efforts. The black list – You’ll see from this year’s list, no company is too small to slip through our net. No excuse justifies this crime. If you pirate software, you will be caught, you will be prosecuted, and it will sting. Last year these companies, amongst others, were prosecuted: Selectweb, Impact Computers, Computer Trading PC Practitioners, Tech Computers, MSB Computers, PC Academy, Multi Tech Systems, Call -Tech Support (CTS), Ossett PC Centre. What’s the damage? – Piracy hurts everyone. A reduction in counterfeiting of just 10 per cent over the next four years would generate a massive £6.9bn and 13,000 jobs*.
